• Pray for the cultural Catholicism that pervades the country, and that people would come to know what it means to have a genuine relationship with Christ.
• Colombia has a large deaf population. Pray for them, and to those who minister to this people group.
• Colombia has experienced a long and difficult civil war against extremist left-wing group, the FARC, which has used violence and kidnapping to accomplish their ends. There have been some recent developments which seem to be encouraging in regards to a improvement of the conflict, and pray that this would continue. Pray for a group called the desplazados (displaced people), which have had to relocate their lives to other places due to the internal conflict.
• Colombia is a large producer of cocaine, and the resulting repercussions have torn lives apart. Pray for those who are involved in this trade, aspiring by all means necessary to become rich in this life. Pray that they may come to know of the incomparable and lasting riches found in Christ alone.
