• Democratic Republic of the Congo is a very impoverished country. Pray that the Lord may raise up laborers, both nationals and expatriates alike, who can minister to material needs, while pointing them to the treasures where “Moth and rust do not destroy” (Matthew 6:20)
• Pray for those involved in Kimbanguism, where a false prophet has deceived many. Pray that they may be deceived no more, and that their eyes would be opened to the True living God.
• According to Reuters, “Malaria is the leading cause of death in the DRC, killing nearly 300,000 children under five every year.” Pray for the cessation of this epidemic, and for the protection of these little ones.
• Pray for the large Protestant minority in the country, that they may be a people holy and set apart, and that syncretism would have no place.
• Pray for the Deaf Congolese, as they are an adopted people group, but there is no engagement and workers are needed.
• There are 242 spoken languages. Pray for that missionaries may be empowered linguistically by God to be able to learn and communicate to the many peoples in their heart language.
